REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
EVERY DAY: Athletic shoes, athletic clothes for hot/cold/wet/dry and a FULL WATER BOTTLE for every practice and game.

SHOES: You can wear soccer cleats for football, but you can’t wear football cleats for soccer. Football cleats are not required. In fact, for the flag football age group football cleats are not recommended. Those little ones don’t weigh enough to sink cleats into firm high altitude fields. Athletic shoes are fine; turf shoes (with the nubbies) are the best. Cleats are hard on feet, especially young growing and developing bones.

INSOLES: For the older ones that have to wear “proper” cleats, we recommend athletic insoles. Try it yourself, pull out the insole of a football cleat, and compare it with that of a running shoe, or your custom insole of your ski boot. Insoles similar to Superfeet/Downunders can do amazing things for performance, foot pain, and overall health of the athlete.
